- Brilliant for Educators is designed in compliance with global privacy laws, including COPPA and FERPA in the US and GDPR in the EEA/UK.
- We make every effort to meet the student privacy requirements of schools and districts.
- New York State Ed Law 2-d: We have signed many NYEdLaw2D agreements with schools and districts. Please let us know if you need a data privacy agreement executed prior to your use of Brilliant in a NY school.
Brilliant for Educators is available for all students, including those under 13, subject to legally required consent.
- Teachers must agree to the Brilliant for Educators Terms of Use and Privacy Statement and consent to our processing of students’ personal information before creating a classroom.
- The privacy statement is also available en Español
- We require teachers to provide our privacy statement to students’ parents/guardians and confirm that Brilliant for Educators can be used in compliance with all applicable policies in effect at their school.
- We do not share, sell, or disclose any personal information of students, nor do we use it for marketing or other non-educational purposes.
- We permit teachers, parents, and/or guardians to access, instruct us to delete, or direct us to stop collecting or using students’ personal information.
