Quickstart Guide

Even if you do not plan on integrating Brilliant into your curriculum yet, that’s ok! Brilliant can be used for self-directed learning. By inviting students, you will grant them access to all 50+ Premium courses. Inspire curiosity and allow them to explore 💙

📚 Create a class

  1. Log in to your Educator account at educator.brilliant.org and go to the “Classroom” tab at the top.
  2. Click the “+New class” button and give your class a name. You can repeat this process to create unlimited classes!
  3. Or, you can create new classes by syncing with Google Classroom.

📤 Invite your students to join a class

  1. Select the class to which you would like to add students.

  2. You can choose to add students via Google Classroom sync, or manually via invite link.

  3. If using link, copy the class link and share with students — you can paste the link into your LMS or send via email.

    → Every student who accepts a class invite from you will be granted full Brilliant Premium access on web and mobile.

🧑🏽‍🎓 Student instructions to accept the class invite

Once you’ve shared the class invite link, students should:

  1. Click the class invite link
  2. They will see a page that says “Welcome to Brilliant!” with your class name.
  3. Create an account by clicking "Join using Google" or "Join using email".

▶️ How to preview a course or lesson

  1. Go on the Lessons tab.
  2. You can preview the full course, or an individual lesson within the course by clicking the ‘Preview’ button.
  3. ‘Preview’ will send you to Brilliant.org to preview the content. If you have not yet invited yourself to join Brilliant.org as a student, you will be prompted to do so first. If you already have a student account set up, click ‘Go to lesson’.
