I am a college professor - can I get free access to Brilliant for Educators?

Yes! College professors are approved to access Brilliant for Educators for free. You can use this account for your own personal STEM learning, to demonstrate content in class, or as inspiration for your curriculum planning.

Please note that TAs are not eligible for free Brilliant access at this time.

I’d like my college students to have their own Brilliant accounts. Is this possible?

Yes, college students can also get their own Brilliant accounts, however they are required to purchase an individual subscription. You may not invite students to join Brilliant if they have not yet paid for a subscription.

If you invite them to join with your custom sign-up link, students will each receive a 30% discount off an individual Premium subscription.

How do I get a custom sign-up link so I can share Brilliant with students?

  1. Apply for Brilliant for Educators at brilliant.org/educators
  2. Indicate Your Interest by clicking this link.
  3. Verify Your Email on the subsequent page.
  4. Get Your Link: We'll create and email you your custom sign-up link.
  5. Share with students: They'll click the link and be guided through the subscription process.

How does the student subscription work?

College students are responsible for purchasing and managing their own individual Brilliant subscriptions. After your students’ subscriptions are active, you can add them to your Brilliant classroom and start assigning courses/tracking progress.

Subscriptions renew on a yearly basis - Each year, students can choose if they wish to renew of cancel.
