Brilliant is crafted to be a space where learners can challenge themselves and learn from their mistakes. It is not intended to serve as an assessment platform. The Class Progress view is designed to help you track which lessons your students have completed and assess their effort by monitoring the time spent on each lesson.

Class Progress Overview
Column definitions
- Students Name: Listed in alphabetical order by last name, followed by first name.
- Total Lessons Completed: The cumulative count of lessons completed by the student. By default, it includes all lessons from any course at any time.
- Total Time Spent: The time a student was actively working on Brilliant, displayed in Hours:Minutes. It counts only when they are interacting with lessons, not just having the browser open. Defaults to all lessons completed in any course over any period.
Locating Class Progress
- Log in to your Educator Portal at educator.brilliant.org.
- In the Classroom List, find the class for which you want information, and select Track Progress. [bottom left]
- If you are already viewing a specific class, you can click Class Progress in the left-hand menu. [bottom right]
Selecting a Date Range
- By default, you will see all lessons completed by students from the start of this school year up to the current date.
- Alternatively, you can select a specific date range. Teachers use this feature to monitor progress on a weekly, monthly, or semester basis.
- Click on the Date Range box.
- Choose: Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days or select your desired start and end dates.
